Joining the Society

The Society has been in existence since 1913 and during that time has maintained the highest of standards through a careful and rigorous membership selection process. Election to full membership will usually take several years and follows the procedure outlined below.
We hope that you will consider membership of Northamptonshire’s premier art society worthy of the effort involved and look forward to viewing your work at the next annual exhibition selection. Application forms are available from the Central Museum and Art Gallery in Guildhall Road around October.

Membership Process:

Annual Exhibition
Four works are submitted by non-members to the selection panel who will choose one or possibly two pieces for exhibition.

 

Election to Associate Membership
Following successful selection for annual exhibitions, artists of particular merit are proposed as Associate Members and will then be voted upon by existing members.

 

Election to Full Membership
Associate Members are proposed and voted on for full membership following a successful period of association and participation with the Society.

 

Election to the Society allows artists to show work in a variety of exhibitions as well as to promote solo and mixed shows. There are a number of social occasions, lectures, trips and an Annual Dinner during the year. At present there are over 110 Members and Associates.’

 

 

Getting your work displayed on this website
